ROMHC
have previously worked on an access and interpretation project
- Discover the Ross, one of thirty-one projects managed
by Nadair Trust and primarily funded by Heritage Lottery Fund.
This involved the development of several walking trails, all of
which explore townships on the Ross of Mull. Each trail has
its own illustrated guidebook, and a programme of events was organised to promote awareness of our work.
The
Ross of Mull contains the remains of a large number of cleared
crofting townships that are accessible to the visitor through
the information made available in the centre; linking documentation
data with the physical evidence on the ground. Initially a three
year project, Discover the Ross was completed in August
2004.
